We are dedicated to educating ourselves and the public about the coming worldwide oil production peak, its timing, potential consequences and the preparations needed to reduce its impact. We share what we learn with the Austin community to encourage appropriate action.

Our main group currently meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.  The group is designed to function as a whole, and by dividing into specific interest groups with the structure below.  Each interest group may additionally hold scheduled or ad hoc meetings at different times during the month, separate from the main meeting, to allow for the members to attend the gatherings of more than one interest group.

General Meeting

The main monthly discussion and meetup group addressing news, issues, education, and presentations about Peak Oil.

Those who want to participate in educating government and political leaders to the challenges and solutions of Peak Oil.

Those who are interested in increasing public awareness in an effort to bring about change.  Share what we have learned and educate for appropriate preparations.

Those interested in learning the challenges and techniques to prepare for the arrival of the Oil Peak at the local and family level.
